Most Important Issues to Voters in 2024 – Harris vs Trump

I think it is vitally important for all of us to support candidates for political office who best espouse and support our ideas of good government. With the 2024 U.S. presidential election fast upon us and with the troubles in the world, I thought I would put down some thoughts on who I plan to vote for and why. To that end, I have compiled a side by side comparison of where the two main party candidates stand, Kamala Harris for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans, on key issues.

The list has six issues that have been shown in polls to be of most importance to American voters–the economy, healthcare, immigration, crime, tax, and foreign policy. This list is by no means comprehensive of all the good or bad aspects of either candidate, nor of all the issues which I think are important factors in making a voting decisions. Still, I think it’s a good start.

The analysis is based on the candidates’ words and actions and how they promote freedom, peace, prosperity, the rule of law, and other ideals of good government. My analysis shows that Donald Trump’s position and record on these issues is much more in line with these values compared to Kamala Harris, which is why he has my support.

The chart below has a little more detail and links to source articles where you can read much more on each topic. And don’t forget to vote on election day, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, or earlier. May God be with and bless you and our nation.
